Spanish and Portuguese are two different languages. Just because they share a few words similar or may sound the same doesn’t mean they are alike. That’s like saying Latin and Greek are the same. They may share a few words similar but in the end they are different languages. Dear, if you speak a bit of Spanish you should know this. If you had a conversation with someone in Portuguese when they speak Spanish they won’t understand. Languages don’t work like that.

Since you do speak Spanish I wondered. Spanish and portuguese are kiiind of alike, so do you think that if I talked with you in portuguese you’d understand? ( I can speak English, Spanish and I have portuguese as my main language, I just don’t speak Spanish as much cause I’m a lil uncomfortable with it, mostly cause I think I might say things wrong qwq)
